Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County and the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center have announced the scholarship winners for the 2009 mentorship experience. Judging of projects was conducted April 29 and award winners will be honored at a breakfast May 4 at Kent State University, Ashtabula Campus, Blue/Gold Room. Scholarship winners are as follows:
Two Cristal Global/ Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, Douglas A. Towner Science Scholarships awarded $1,500 each to Megan Suchala, senior, Lakeside High School, and Kelsey Amidon, senior, Edgewood Senior High School.
Ashtabula Dental Associates, Dr. James Sockman Memorial Scholarship awarded $1,000 to Trisha Barris, senior, Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School/ Conneaut High School.
Ashtabula County Medical Center Mentorship Scholarship awarded $1,000 to Autumn Heisler, senior, Conneaut High School.
Ashtabula Rotary Foundation/Francis A. Herzog Memorial Mentorship Scholarship awarded $1,000 to Jennie Smith, junior, Edgewood Senior High School.
Ashtabula Rotary Foundation Mentorship Scholarship awarded $750 to Lindey Campagne, junior, Edgewood Senior High School.
Three Ashtabula Rotary Foundation Mentorship Scholarships awarded $500 each to Nicki Gallo, junior, Ss. John and Paul High School; Emily Stolfer, junior, Edgewood Senior High School; and Maggie Nanney, senior, Edgewood Senior High School.
Three Star Beacon Newspaper Mentorship Scholarships awarded $500 each to Mark Reed, junior, Geneva High School; Evan Gruskiewicz, senior, Pymatuning Valley High School; and Kayla Jashurek, junior, Conneaut High School.
Two Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County Mentorship Scholarships awarded $500 each to Jessica Hively, junior, Conneaut High School, and Ashley Humphrey, junior, Edgewood Senior High School.
