CONNEAUT— Two men aboard an all-terrain vehicle that crashed late Saturday afternoon did not suffer life-threatening injuries, according to reports.
The men suffered lacerations, bruises and other injuries, but neither lost consciousness, Vincent Gildone, Fire Station 3 battalion chief, said Sunday.
David Levesque, 38, 705 Center Road, was at the controls of an ATV that spilled while riding on property off Daniels Avenue, authorities have said. The vehicle rolled “end over end” in the accident, Gildone said.
The passenger was identified as Peter Mercado, 41, of Cleveland. Mercado also suffered shoulder and knee injuries, Gildone said.
The pair were able to make their way to 121 Daniels Ave., where they were met by firefighters and ambulance crews, authorities said. They were taken to UH Conneaut Medical Center in two ambulances, Gildone said.
Safety personnel were sent to the scene around 5:30 p.m.
