ASHTABULA —
While the national political spotlight is focused on the presidential debates, politicians on the ballot in Ashtabula County will be made available for the public Tuesday night.
The Star Beacon will host its first Legislative Candidates’ Night from 6-8 p.m. in the auditorium at Kent State University Ashtabula.
Candidates invited to attend are 32nd Ohio Senate (Trumbull) incumbent Capri S. Cafaro (D), and Nancy McArthur (R); 99th Ohio Rep. (Ashtabula) incumbent Casey Kozlowski (R), and John Patterson (D), and 64th Ohio Rep. (Trumbull) incumbent Tom Letson (D) and Randy Law (R).
Readers may submit questions (one question per reader) to candidates concerning four areas: economic development, education, energy and local issues. Questions may be submitted via email (sterry@ starbeacon.com) or bring them into the office, 4626 Main Ave. by Monday.
“We want to get to the heart of the issues,” Publisher Jim Frustere said.
