CONNEAUT — Detectives from the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of several area people on charges related to a conspiracy to distribute 450 grams of illegal methamphetamines.
The arrests followed a lengthy investigation involving sheriff’s detectives and Pennsylvania authorities, said Detective Lt. Van Robison.
“We’ve been working on this for a while,” he said.
Charged with manufacturing meth were Alan Blenman, 47; Jason Carmody, 36; and Doug Loudermilk, 34, all of Conneaut, Robison said.
Charged with trafficking in meth were Kristy Silvola, 24, and David Sayre, 28, both of Ashtabula; and Chester Arcaro III, 23, of Conneaut.
Several people also were charged with obtaining the precursor chemicals used to make meth. They include Benjamin Mayberry, 28; David Bixler, 26; Amber Stump, 24; Richard Gable, 23; Robert Murray, 34; and Valerie Todd, 32, all of the Conneaut area; and Kimberly Steinhoff, 42 of Ashtabula, Robison said. Steinhoff also has been charged with possession of illegal meth, he said.
All the suspects either were picked up by deputies or surrendered to authorities, Robison said.
