WAYNE TOWNSHIP — Two women were taken to the hospital Monday after a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Hayes Road and Route 322, according to Ohio Highway Patrol reports.
Mary Stowell, 76, of Williamsfield, was traveling northbound at about 11 a.m. on Hayes Road when she failed to yield at the stop sign, reports show.
Stowell’s 2005 Chevy was hit by a 1997 Dodge Caravan heading eastbound on Route 322, reports show.
The name of the Caravan’s driver was not available Monday afternoon, an OHP dispatcher said.
The Dodge Caravan slid off of the left side of the road upon impact, reports show.
Both drivers were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Andover for minor injuries, OHP reports said.
The OHP trooper charged Stowell with failure to yield, reports show.
