Best bets for local weekend entertainment

  • The 13th annual D-Day will continue today and Saturday in Conneaut. More than 750 re-enactors are registered to participate. Allied and Axis troops will be camped at Conneaut Township Park. The public is welcome from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday to visit, view displays and talk to the re-enactors about their roles in the invasion. Three battles are on the agenda: 5 p.m. today; 11 a.m. Saturday; and the landing assault at 3 p.m. Saturday. For more information online: ddayohio.us
  • Plymouth Township will host Meet Your Neighbor Day 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with entertainment, games and a potluck lunch at noon at the fire hall.
  • Grand Valley Festival will continue today and Saturday in Orwell. There will be hot air balloon rides on Saturday, food and entertainment.
