ASHTABULA —
A 2001 Harbor High School graduate will be opening a show of her paintings Friday evening at The Adventure of Yeah Yeah and Fiore.
The art gallery is located at 1027 Bridge Street.
“This is the first opportunity I have had to have a local showing of my art work and I am pretty excited,” said Micheline Guerriero who is an elementary school art teacher in the Madison school district.
“Mostly I’m interested in experimenting with colors,” she said of her work that is monochromatic and includes a variety of subjects including landscapes.
Guerriero said the Friday evening opening will be from 7 to 9 p.m. She said her art will be on exhibit the entire month of February.
She said a different artist will be featured at the gallery each month.
Guerriero said she took one of the paintings to school and worked on it for awhile so the students could see her in action. “They were excited to see me working on it,” she said.
Guerriero said she took all the art courses available at Harbor High School under the direction of art teacher Ann Rapose. She said she also participated in the Kiwanis Club art contest at the Ashtabula Arts Center.
