JEFFERSON — An Andover Township man was indicted for attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and tampering with evidence stemming from a Dec. 31, 2009, incident in Andover Township, according to Ashtabula County Common Pleas court records.
Chuck Hoye, 33, of 6622 Third St., Andover, was indicted for allegedly stabbing a 22 year-old Andover man in the neck over an apparent $50 debt, according to court records and Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department reports. The victim was allegedly stabbed in the neck after refusing to exit a truck at the intersection of Tuckaho Drive and Belair Avenue in Andover Township, sheriff’s reports show.
According to Common Pleas Court records, indictments were brought against the following 10 individuals:
n Prentis Jackson Jr., 29, of 4452 E. 131st St., Cleveland, was indicted for trafficking in drugs, stemming from a Sept. 9, 2009, incident in Kingsville Township involving 1,499 grams (about 3 1/3 pounds) of marijuana;
n Javon D. Carr, 34, of 910 W. 38th St., Ashtabula, was indicted for misuse of a credit card relating to two alleged incidents on September of 2009 in Ashtabula Township;
n Ryan A. Gaylord, 25, of 4401 W. Maple Ave., Geneva, was indicted for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and domestic violence, stemming from a Nov. 21, 2009, incident in Geneva Township;
n Jose A. Aponte, 20, of 1027 W. 37th St., Ashtabula, was indicted for burglary and theft stemming from a Nov. 22, 2009, incident in Austinburg Township involving the alleged theft of seven pit bull puppies worth more than $500;
n Dominic J. Gasper, 25, of 1203 E. 15th St., was indicted on a charge of felonious assault stemming from an Oct. 31, 2009, incident in Ashtabula;
n Derrek S. Fulton, 25, of 5904 S. Warner Drive, Geneva, was indicted on a count of theft stemming from the alleged theft of more than $500 in stereo equipment in Geneva-on-the-Lake on Aug. 2, 2009;
n Jake DiMatteo, 18, of 290 N. Whitmore Road, in Hastings, Mich., was indicted on a robbery charge, stemming from a Nov. 29, 2009, incident in Ashtabula Township;
n David Balliet, 29, of 518 W. 38th St., Ashtabula, and Clarence Peterson Jr., 44, of 1912 Lambros Lane B-11, were indicted on one count of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs stemming from a Dec. 3, 2009, incident in Ashtabula Township;
n Reshad J. Riddle, 25, of 4007 West Ave., Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of possession of cocaine and one count of tampering with evidence stemming from a Nov. 28, 2009, incident in Ashtabula; and
n Joel M. Shick, 49, 5411 Main Ave., Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of obstruction of justice stemming from a Dec. 26, 2009, incident in Jefferson.
