GENEVA — A Geneva man was robbed and bound at his West Tibbitts Street home late Wednesday evening, and police are searching for three suspects, Geneva Police Chief Dan Dudik said.
A man found his roommate wounded, and his hands bound with duct tape, police reports show.
“From what we understand, at least three males forced their way into the home and attacked the victim,” Dudik said. “There was a struggle, and at one point the victim’s hands were bound with duct tape,” he said. “His roommate came home and found him and called police.”
Dudik said a firearm and other items were stolen from the residence. The victim refused transportation to the hospital but later was taken to UH-Geneva Medical Center by friends for treatment.
Police officers searched the area and interviewed neighbors Wednesday night, Dudik said.
“We are in the middle of the investigation right now,” he said. “We are looking to determine if there was a motive or if this was a random attack. We are looking for links between the invaders and the victims.”
Dudik said the suspects are three white males, all aged 20 to 30. One man is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 150 to 175 pounds with blond hair. Another suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 to 175 pounds with black hair.
“We ask that anyone with information regarding this robbery call the Geneva Police Department at 440-466-1111,” Dudik said. “Any information at all would be valuable to this investigation.”
