Ashtabula City Health Department will offer a free assessment and informal in-service as part of the Get Walking for a Healthier Ashtabula educational series noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Ashtabula Municipal Building, 4717 Main Ave., lower level.
As part of the “10,000 steps will lead to better health initiative,” ACHD registered nurses will show a short cardiac health video and distribute informational brochures. Also, height, weight, body mass index and blood pressure checks will be performed free of charge.
