ASHTABULA —
ASHTABULA — Today Dr. Oz joins forces with an Ashtabula native to combat belly fat.
Jaime Brenkus, fitness trainer and creator of the “8-Minute Abs” video, will appear on the Dr. Oz show about building core muscles without spending hours in the gym.
Brenkus will show viewers the three moves to build a little muscle and blast a lot of belly fat, according to the TV show’s listing.
His mother, Lucille Brenkus of Ashtabula, said she’s getting the whole family together to watch the show, scheduled for 4 p.m. on WEWS Channel 5.
Brenkus, a 1979 St. John High School graduate, has worked as a weight loss coach and fitness trainer, designing supermodel Kathy Ireland’s videos, as well as being featured on radio and TV shows. Millions of his videos have been sold through his infomercials and commercials.
He’s also the author of the book, “Get Lean in 15: 15 Ways in 15 Days to Shape Up and Slim Down...Fast!” and he co-developed the Perfect Portions Diet Dish.
Brenkus owns the Lean Living fitness center in Concord Township.
He settled in Willoughby in the mid-1990s after spending years in Florida and California. He is married to Teri Arcaro, who hails from Conneaut, and they have a daughter, Lauren, 15.
