Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are still investigating a Thursday morning collision between a car and horse on Route 7 in Monroe Town-ship, according to reports.
Information about the crash was not available Friday, a trooper said.
Around 4:30 a.m., a compact car traveling north on Route 7 struck a horse standing in the highway, according to reports. The impact caused the car to veer off the road and into a house near the intersection of routes 7 and 84. The driver, a young woman, was taken to UH Conneaut Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, emergency medical personnel said.
The horse was killed, witnesses said.
