CONNEAUT — CONNEAUT

  •  A traffic stop on Mill Street at 2:26 a.m. Friday resulted in the driver being cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.
  • Thanks to a phone tip, police were on the look-out Friday at 6:54 p.m. for a woman who was drunk and driving erratically on Route 20. Shortly thereafter, police spotted a vehicle traveling 96 mph on Route 20 near the Pennsylvania line. As police followed the vehicle, the female driver accelerated and entered the westbound lane into oncoming traffic. The vehicle jumped the median again, spun out of control, back into oncoming traffic and off the roadway. The driver backed into the roadway and attempted to flee again when the officer approached the vehicle and ordered her out of the car. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and after a standard field sobriety test, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence. Pennsylvania State Police handled the arrest.
  •  A non-injury traffic accident was reported at Route 7 and Gateway Avenue at 7:15 p.m. Friday.
  • Police initiated a traffic stop at 12:55 a.m. Saturday after a vehicle drove over a curb on Harbor Street. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and possessed an open container of beer. Citations were issued for the offenses.
  • A man was cited at 2:23 a.m. Saturday for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance in front of Sportsline Pub on State Street.
  • A Sandusky Street resident reported a theft of bricks at 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
  • n Gutters and a fence were reported stolen from a Poplar Street property at 8:32 a.m. Saturday.
  • An Orange Street resident reported harassment at 1:22 p.m. Saturday.
  • A domestic disturbance was reported on Rockwell Street at 3:05 p.m. Saturday.
  • A man who said he was consuming alcohol, smoking weed and harassing a family at the sandbar was escorted away from the area at 4:12 p.m. Saturday by the police and transported to the police station.
  • A non-injury accident was reported at Broad and State streets at 8:16 p.m. Saturday.
  • A Madison Street resident reported harassment at 9:46 p.m. Saturday.
  • An intoxicated man was roaming around Love’s travel center at 11:07 p.m. Saturday when someone called the police. He was transported to the police station and booked without incident.
  • A 15th Street resident reported harassment at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.
  • A domestic disturbance was reported on Broad Street at 3:12 p.m. Sunday.
  • A Main Street resident said someone smashed out several windows of his vehicle at 6:10 p.m. Sunday.
  • A Buffalo Street resident reported harassment at 7:40 p.m. Sunday.
