I would like to add a comment in the opine section regarding the city income tax credit reduction plan.
Reducing income tax credits from other cities is just adding insult to injury.
Wouldn’t it be better to do something positive to rebuild the city?
Why not work at trying to create jobs and increase businesses in the area rather than perpetuate the non-existent or low paying jobs here.
Why not be the “somewhere else” people are force to go to in order to find decent jobs?
Ashtabula will just become a run down low paying town that people with either leave or never migrate to if nothing is done to improve the situation.
Just look at all the businesses that have closed in recent years, where is a person supposed to find a job but out of town?
