MADISON — Lois Bush, age 82, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.
She was born April 18, 1930, to Pearl (Votaw) and O. Lawrence Fittro. Lois married O. Kenneth Bush Jr. in Warren, Ohio, on March 28, 1952.
She had a passion for teaching and was a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at North Madison Elementary. Lois was Volunteer of the Year for Madison School District in 2008.
She sang with the Covered Bridge Chapter of the Sweet Adelines. She was a member of the Home Crafters of Madison and Chapel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Lois was a member of Curves in Madison and a Friend of Madison Public Library. She truly loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Bill) Uehlinger of Geneva, Theresa “Trixie” (Wayne) Palm of Madison and Sandy Bush of Madison; sons, O.K. “Bud” Bush III and Larry (Pam) Bush, both of Madison; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Fittro of Henderson, Nev.; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Fittro of Ashville, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Raymond Fittro.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26th, at BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27th, at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Road, Madison. Final Resting Place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
