ASHTABULA — Ruby Jean Carroll-Shultz, age 73, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born August 20, 1939, in Conneaut, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Case) Eccleston. Ruby graduated from Rowe High School in Conneaut and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the 7th Day Advent Church.
Ruby worked for many years with her husband Fred before his passing, as an Auto Body mechanic for Nassief.
She married Larry Shultz on Feb. 3, 2010. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking pies. She made a crust that would just melt in your mouth. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Joseph Hicks of Austin, Texas, Cheryl Hicks of Conneaut, Holly Hicks of Girard, Pa., Fred (April) Carroll of Ashtabula and Floyd (Patricia) Carroll of Ashtabula; her brother, Gary (Anna) Hagstrom of Conneaut; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Fred Carroll; and her parents.
At her request, there will be no services, cremation will take place.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
