ASHTABULA —
Stanley K. Teresk, age 96, of Southlane Dr., Ashtabula, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at his home.
He was born April 12, 1916, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Katherine (Szezygiel) Tereskiewicz and had been a lifetime area resident. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate Third Class.
He was employed with Childs Motors in Ashtabula and then for Nassief Pontiac and Cadillac, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of St. Joseph Calasanctius Church in Jefferson and Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mt. Carmel Church in Ashtabula. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and yard work.
Surviving him are his wife, Etta Teresk whom he married August 11, 2001; five step-children, Cindy M. Cosner of Conneaut Lake, Pa., Michael L. Crislip of Ashtabula, David E. (Cathy) Crislip of Ashtabula, Janine M. (Cecil) Kirby of Dorset and Christine M. (Ted) Morus of Greenville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Frances Golon of Jefferson, Lottie Newkirk of Ashtabula and Betty Stall of Willoughby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lottie and infant; his second wife, Irene in 1996; a step-son, Mark A. Crislip; three brothers, Tony, Walter and Edward Teresk; and two sisters, Ann Teresk and Sophie Teresk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Monday, August 20th, at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church, 32 E. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio, with the Rev. Father Charles Poore officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the church or at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio who has charge of arrangements.
