ASHTABULA — Geraldine Ann “Gerri” Radkowski, age 69, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at her home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1943, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Lawrence and Helen (Budzowski) Jaworski. She married the love of her life Dr. John R. Radkowski on Oct. 26, 1963.
A 1961 graduate of Sharon High School, she graduated from New Castle Business College in 1963. Prior to her retirement, she worked 23 years as a sales administrator for Molded Fiberglass. A member of Our Lady of Peace Parish (Mother of Sorrows Church), Gerri also operated Floral and Basket Expressions from her home and authored the book, “From Worms to Flowers.”
A woman of great faith, devoted wife and loving mother; she loved flowers, gardening, and especially spending time and vacationing with her family.
Her survivors include three sons, Mr. John (Lisa) Radkowski of Wylie, Texas, Dr. Eric (Karen) Radkowski of Madison, Ohio, and Mr. Keith (Kelly) Radkowski of Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren, Joshua, Jenna, Rachel, Ryan and Karyss; and mother-in-law, Anna Radkowski of Sharon, Pa.
Gerri was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John R. Radkowski on Feb. 17, 2012; her granddaughter, Sydney Radkowski; and her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7th, at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Deacon Rich Johnson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of Service. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
