GENEVA —
John L. Clarkson, age 78, passed away peacefully at his summer residence in Marblehead, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 10, 1933, in Euclid, Ohio, the son of Edward and Ruth Clarkson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
For over 30 years, John was employed by Reliance Electric in Ashtabula as a maintenance electrician.
He was married to Donna (Souers) Clarkson on Sept. 24, 1960. Until recently, they wintered in Everglades City, Fla., where he enjoyed fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands. Besides fishing, John enjoyed traveling, vegetable gardening, reading and especially their dog, “Jessie.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rowland and Edwin; and a sister, Frances Nugent.
He is survived by his wife; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces and nephews.
At John’s request, no memorial or service will be held.
