AUSTINBURG —
Memorial services for Violet E.L. Papp, age 97, will be 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 15th, at Faith Lutheran Church, 8125 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
The daughter of Louis and Louisa (Neubert) Wenner, she was born on January 12, 1915, in Cleveland. Mrs. Papp was a resident of Austinburg since 1989 and was formerly of Mentor. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Country Club Retirement Center in Ashtabula.
Violet graduated from Glenville High School and Dyke Business College in Cleveland, and was a secretary for Mentor Public Schools and retired from the Garden Center of Cleveland. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor and the Brentwood Garden Club.
Violet is survived by a son, Jeffrey B. (Paula) Papp of Mentor; daughter, Janice (Robert) Webster of Austinburg; grandchildren, Heather Burton and Shawn (Kelly) Webster; and great-grandchildren, Kayla Kainaroi, Breanna Burton, Savannah Burton and Morgan Webster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1963; grandson, William A. Hudson; brothers, Louis, Herman, Harvey, Elmer, Clarence, Walter, Arthur and Raymond; and sisters, Maybelle and Pearl.
No calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
Memorials may be made to the family. SPEAR-MULQUEENY FUNERAL HOME of Painesville has been entrusted with arrangements.
