JEFFERSON —
Leta Mae Herman, age 88, of E. Erie St., Jefferson, died late Wednesday evening, Oct. 31, 2012, at Ashtabula Co. Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 24, 1923, in Dorset, the daughter of William P. and Thelma N. (Sicily) Hughart and had lived in this area all of her life.
She was a 20 year employee of Hoerner Waldorf Box Co., retiring in 1986. Mrs. Herman was an animal lover, feeding both domestic and wild animals and enjoyed gardening her flowers and plants.
Survivors include three children, David (Virginia) Miller of Hazelhurst, Ga., Kenneth Miller of Jefferson and Barbara (Rick) Ward of Dorset; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lester Hughart of Marysville, W.Va. and Leroy Hughart of Madison.
Her parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Larry and Leonard Hughart all preceded her in death.
Private family services will be held with burial in Oakdale Cemetery.
