GIRARD, Pa. — Geraldine R. Slater, age 73, of Girard, Pa., died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at the Pleasant Ridge Manor Nursing Home in Girard, Pa.
She was born July 25, 1936, in Erie, Pa., the daughter of Alfonse “Frank” and Sophia (Spizarny) Pohl.
She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her family.
Surviving her are two sons, Larry (Leslie) Royer of Springboro, Pa. and Tom Royer of Northeast, Pa.; two daughters, Kim (Ed) Newcomb of Lake City, Pa. and Karen George of McKean, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Richard Pohl of Madison, Ohio and Michael Pohl of Florida; and a sister, Barbara DeOrio of Ashtabula, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Judy Mesario.
Private family Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
