ASHTABULA — Camile “Joe” Lalli, age 80, a resident of Ashtabula, died Friday morning, Feb. 5, 2010, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Oct. 20, 1929, in Ashtabula, the son of Michael and Carmella (Piscetelli) Lalli. Mr. Lalli was a Veteran of the United States Army.
On April 25, 1953, he married the former Delores Izzi in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He retired from the East Ohio Gas Company.
Joe was a ham radio operator and a member of the VFW and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where he was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus Council 360 Ashtabula, Sir Knight Leo J. Kane Assembly of the Knights of Columbus, as a Knight he was a former Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and past District Deputy. He also enjoyed working in his yard and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Lalli of Ashtabula; son, Joseph (Bonnie) Lalli of Ashtabula; daughter, Linda (Jerry) Orlando of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Brenden (Anna Diehl) Lalli, Kristina Lalli, Jerry Orlando and Ashley Orlando; sisters, Louise Muto of Conneaut and Janet (Don) Church of Ashtabula; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Lalli.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 8th, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery where Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Dewey Howlett Post 103 Honor Guard Team.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 7th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
