CONNEAUT — Vicky L. Suerdieck, age 61, of W. Main Road, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1948, in Tipp City, Ohio, to the late James and Betty (Smith) Suerdieck. She lived in Tipp City before moving to Conneaut in 1967.
Vicky retired as a stockroom supervisor from General Electric Conneaut Base plant. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and the American Legion women’s auxiliary. In her leisure, time she enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sisters, Jody Suerdieck and Tammy (Scott) Ledford, both of Conneaut; brother, Ron (Peggy) Suerdieck of Tipp City; nieces and nephews, Toby (Karin) Suerdieck, Shelly (Greg) Braun, Zachary Ledford and Taylor Ledford; and three great-nieces, Taylor Braun and Morgan and Madelyn Suerdieck.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be 8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8th, at the THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Joyce Shellhammer, lay pastor of the 1st Congressional United Church of Christ, officiating. Inurnment will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City, Ohio at a later date.
Calling Hours will be from 6 p.m. until time of Service, Monday, at the Funeral Home.
