MADISON — John Frank Wyatt Sr., known to everyone as Frank, age 72, of Dock Road, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his family after a short illness.


He was born Nov. 10, 1937, in Webster County, W.Va., the son of Ambrose and Flossie (Phillips) Wyatt and had been a longtime area resident.


Prior to his retirement he worked for C.E. Tyler of Mentor as a wire weaver.


Frank enjoyed being outdoors, working in his vegetable garden, coon hunting and fishing and his dog, “Spiff”. He enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts and was looking forward to the Super Bowl. An incredible father and grandfather, there wasn’t anything he would not do for his family.


He is survived by his four children, Dawn (Robert) Potter of Holiday, Fla., Nancy (John) Blood of Dorset, John (Vickie) Wyatt Jr. of Geneva and Russell Wyatt of Madison; three grandchildren, James E. Stewart, Virginia Blood and Robert Anderson; one sister, Dolly (William) Hiner of Mentor-on-the-Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Bates) Wyatt in 2001; five sisters, May, Carrie, Arnie, Hazel and Ruby; four brothers, Gwen, Russell, Elmer and George; his parents; and many nieces and nephews.


Graveside Service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8th, at Cherry Valley Cemetery, Route 6, Cherry Valley Township, Ashtabula Co., Ohio.


A Celebration of Life Gathering will follow the burial from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Cherry Valley Town Hall, at the corner of Route 193 and Route 6.
