CLEVELAND — Georgana P. Baker, age 74, of Lake Road West, Saybrook Township, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

She was born March 17, 1936, in Ashtabula, the daughter of George and Pansy (McLaughlin) Pettebone. She was a graduate of Ashtabula High School.

She worked as a Nurse Supervisor in the ER at Ashtabula County Medical Center and had also worked at Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland. She had also been the first secretary at Kent State University Ashtabula Branch.

She enjoyed going to casinos, flower arranging, house decorating, computers and reading.

Surviving her is her husband, Thomas Baker whom she married Feb. 6, 1993; daughter, Jane (James) Miller of Ashtabula; four grandchildren, Andrea Fritz, Philip Pape Jr., Robert Gephart and Jessica Gephart; and two step-children, Debra (Roy) Killian of Lewiston, Idaho and Thomas A. (Ellen) Baker of Gilbert, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Robert A. Gephart in 2009.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.
