JEFFERSON — Abbie J. Pacholke, age 76, of Lenox-New Lyme Road, Jefferson, Ohio, died Sunday, August 12, 2012, at her home.
She was born August 23, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Anthony and Angela (Gagliardo) Schiavoni and has been an area resident since 1960.
She had been a cook and had worked at Con Lea Nursing Home in Geneva, Jefferson Geriatric and Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Geneva. She enjoyed reading her Bible; gardening; her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. Her dog “Coco” was her close companion.
Surviving is her husband, Wayne; two sons, Duane (Karen) Pacholke of Rock Creek and Brett (Teresa) Pacholke of Morgan Township; three daughters, Robin Cowell of Jefferson, Brandy (Brian) Carroll with whom she made her home and Candy (Lester) Gordon of Tallmadge; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Orlando Schiavoni of Willoughby Hills, Anthony Schiavoni of Wisconsin and Dominick Vaccariello of Madison; and two sisters, Sandra Sacash of Myrtle Beach and Carmela Patchin of Painesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Shane Allen Pacholke in 1974; and a brother, Chuck Schiavoni.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 16th, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 811 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio, with Pastor Jonathan Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsville Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, August 15th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Geneva Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 323 S. Broadway, Geneva, and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Church.
