CONNEAUT — Oneita Osa Burlingham, age 96, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully at Lake Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, August 10, 2012.

She was born Oct. 19, 1915, the daughter of Joseph and Hazel Kelley. A Conneaut resident all her life, she was a member of Conneaut First Congregational United Church of Christ.

She enjoyed reading, jig-saw puzzles and search a words. She worked at W.T. Grants, P & J Variety Store, Mooney’s Bakery and The Conneaut Railroad Museum. She is survived by her son, Clarence (Beverly) Burlingham; daughters, Janet (Walter) Cole and Rita (Delton) Fuller, all of Conneaut; grandchildren, Ramona (Jim) Lauer, Charles (Pam) Burlingham, Joan (Mike) DeNunzio, Lisa (Mark) Heinonen, all of Conneaut, Cathy (Ted) Janson of Virginia, Mark Cole of Conneaut, Sherri (Mike) Lazanis of Dorset, Barbara (Chris) Pendelton of Andover, Wendy (Art) Ackerley of St. Pauls, N.C., Randy Fuller of Ashtabula and Amy (Carl) Hall of Conneaut; she also had 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn R. Burlingham in 1989; her granddaughter, Donna (Cole) Rogerson; and her brothers, Merle Kelley and Roland Kelley.

Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, August 13th, at THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Pastor Joyce Shellhammer, of First Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the time of the Service at Noon on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ or to Hospice of Western Reserve.
