PIERPONT — Richard Lee Bradnan, age 51, died unexpectedly at his home, Friday, August 10, 2012.

The son of Paul E. and Donna A. (Mallory) Bradnan, he was born on June 27, 1961, in Conneaut, Ohio. A graduate of Edgewood High School, Rick had remained a life-long area resident.

He was employed for twenty-eight years at Vesuvius Manufacturing formerly, Foseco Metallurgical as the Head of the Maintenance Department. Rick enjoyed his job and the many people that he worked with over the years.

Rick was an avid hunter, fisherman, and farmer. One of his many hobbies was restoring tractors; he could build or repair anything, and he was in the process of rebuilding a Ford 9-N. Rick was one of the most honest, dependable men you would ever want to meet. He would tell you what he thought, yet he was also kind and thoughtful. He was proud of being a mason and being a member of Evergreen Lodge #222 of Conneaut.

Rick will be remembered for his sense of humor, his dedication to his job, and his unending love for his children and beloved granddaughter, Madyson.

He is survived by his sons, Andrew Bradnan of Painesville, Richard Bradnan of Willoughby and Matthew Bradnan and David Bradnan, both of Conneaut; his daughter, Brittnay Bradnan, also of Conneaut; granddaughter, Madyson Knierim; his mother, Donna A. Bradnan of Pierpont; his companion, Darlene Dyke, also of Pierpont; sister-in-law, Alice Bradnan of North Kingsville; nephew, Spencer Bradnan of Virginia; and a great-niece, Mallory, also of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward P. Bradnan on Sept. 24, 1998, his father, Paul E. Bradnan on Jan. 1, 1998; and a sister, Alma Bradnan in 1955.

Calling Hours will be observed from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 14th, at CHILDS & WILLIAMS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Rt. 7, Pierpont, Ohio. Masonic Services by Evergreen Lodge #222 will follow Calling Hours.

Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 15th, at Evergreen Cemetery in Pierpont.
