ANDOVER —
Brenda A. Barricklow, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.
She was born on May 3, 1949, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Irma (Basilico) and John X. Gary. Mrs. Barricklow was a 1967 graduate of Valley Stream North High School of Valley Stream, N.Y. Formerly of Brooklyn and Valley Stream, N.Y., Mrs. Barricklow was an Andover area resident since 1972. On June 22, 1968, she married Paul Allen Barricklow and together they adopted twelve children, as well as fostered one hundred-fifty other children.
She attended Pymatuning Community Church. Mrs. Barricklow loved raising children and kept busy with all of their activities. She also enjoyed shopping.
Mrs. Barricklow is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeremy Barricklow.
Survivors include her husband of forty-three years, Paul A. Barricklow of Andover, Ohio; eight daughters, Stephanie L. Davis of Bradenton, Fla., Elizabeth H. Barricklow of Sharon, Pa., Linda A. (Fred) McBride of Andover, Ohio, Laura R. (PJ) Mays of Warren, Ohio, Brenda Lee Barricklow, Tiffany A. Barricklow and Mary L. Moore, all of Andover, Ohio, and Anna M. (Adam) Harju of Jefferson, Ohio; and granddaughter, Destiny Barrett of Kentucky, whom they raised as a daughter; seven sons, Micah (Janet) of Oil City, Pa., David (Lori) of Loraine, Ohio, Michael P. of Ashtabula, Ohio, Ronald (Tiffany) of Andover, Ohio, Brian A. of the USMC in California, Nicholas G. of Bazetta, Ohio, and Dominick D. Barricklow of Andover, Ohio; three brothers, Ronald Gary of Arizona, Carlos Martinez of Florida and Guy Gary of California; thirty-two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10th, at Pymatuning Community Church, 6459 Route 7, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Steven Mickels officiating.
