CONNEAUT — Linda D. Meinke, age 63, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening, Sept. 8, 2012, at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1949, in Conneaut, to her loving parents Richard and Wanda Meinke.
Linda was a happy and loving daughter and person, even with her physical and mental disabilities. She was an original member of the Pioneer Club at Happy Hearts. She was a people person and was loved by her many families and friends. She loved playing her record player, cassettes, radios and puzzles. Linda also loved looking at her picture albums, many of them from friends and relatives from New York State, Florida, Colorado and Washington State.
She was preceded in death by her wonderful, loving and caring dad, Richard, December 2009; her grandparents, George and Ellen Snyder and Ralph and Olga Meinke; her aunts, Juanita (Tupy) Lindgren, Georgene Mischka and Lillian Meinke; and her uncle, Jon Snyder.
Survivors include her mother, Wanda; her uncle, Donald, and aunt, Nancy Meinke; aunts, Pauline Snyder, Marie Heinonen and Etta Snyder; uncles, Lee Heinonen and George (Nyla) Lindgren; cousins, Steve Snyder, Jon Snyder, Tom Meinke, Keith Meinke, Terry Jones, Renae Hansen, Dyan and Pat Kovacevic, Jan Ellis and their families, Tom, Debbie and Tyrus Lindgren, James Mischka, Tim, Tammie, Justin and Joelle Lucas, Beth Rose and Paula Kwiatkowski; and longtime friends of over 50 years, Don and Mary Draves.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12th, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Pastor Jan Walsh, of New Leaf United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Service at 11 a.m.
