ASHTABULA —
Antonietta (D'Itri) DiLemme, of Ashtabula, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 92 years old.
She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Isernia, Italy, to Michael and Anna (Ucciferri) D'Itri and immigrated to this country with her husband and daughters in 1955 at the age of 36.
Antonietta was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano DiLemme; dearest mother of Tina (Joe) Ray and Rita (Tom) Timonere of Ashtabula; loving grandmother of Mark (Julie) Ray of Westlake, Lisa (Josh) Ray Barrickman of West Chester, Pa., Adrienne (Dan) Timonere Publicover of Solon and Andrea (Girolamo) Timonere Mercede of Rome, Italy; great-grandmother of Ellie, Jack and Charlie Barrickman and Sophia Publicover.
Her family was her greatest treasure and Antonietta enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, singing songs and reciting folk tales from Italy. She will be forever adored for her deep faith, compassionate love, admirable strength, wisdom and sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and she will always be cherished in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaetano DiLemme; brothers, Celestino, Cosmo and Damiano D'Itri, all of Montreal, Canada and Vincenzo D'Itri of Isernia, Italy; brother-in-law, Carmine DiLemme of Isernia, Italy; and sisters-in-law, Anna DiLemme Rampini and Assuntina DiLemme Bernardo.
Survivors include her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren; brother, Giuseppe D'Itri, of Montreal, Canada; brothers-in-law, John (Anna) DiLemme of Ashtabula and Vincent (Marie) DiLemme of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27th, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mt. Carmel Church.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
