Laura T. Morgan, age 91, of Ashtabula, died Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2012, at Country Club Retirement Center
Born Oct. 8, 1921, in Old Forge, Pa., she was the daughter of Angelo and Marsilia (Angeloni) Santilli.
Laura came to Ohio in 1948 and briefly worked at Ward Products. She retired from the City of Ashtabula as the secretary of Public Works. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.
Survivors include her son, Joseph DelPriore and his wife, Mary Kay; granddaughter, Amy Nagle; grandson, James “JJ” DelPriore; great-granddaughter, Katie Shaughnessy; great-grandsons, Alex and Zach DelPriore; several nieces and nephews; and ex husband, Frances “Ducky” DePietro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Pirrello; brothers, Pasqual and Armando Santilli; and ex husbands, Joseph DelPriore and John Morgan.
Funeral Service will be held at Noon, Tuesday, Oct. 16th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, with Father Ernesto Rodriguez, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.
The family acknowledges with grateful appreciation the respectful loving care Laura received from the staff and administration of Country Club Retirement Campus. She came to think of and experience them all as family. The family is also very grateful for the care and support that Hospice of the Western Reserve provided over these recent months.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Beatitude House in care of Our Lady of Peace Parish, 3312 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
