ASHTABULA —
Violetta Louise McGee, age 60, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Ashtabula County Medical Center with her loving family at her side.
She was born Oct. 31, 1951, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Louvenia (Roby) McGee, but was raised by her mother and step-father, Napoleon Carson.
An area resident most of her life and member of Miracle Temple COGIC, she loved her soap operas and listening to Aretha Franklin sing.
Her survivors include five sisters, Denita Fields, Darnetta Bennett, Shirley Dyer and Carolyn Meeks, all of Ashtabula and Tari Rodriguez of Erie, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, including her favorite great-nephew, Syrei Jackson, who everyone agreed was her favorite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Napoleon and Louvenia Carson; and her brother, Michael W. Carson.
A Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 9th, at Hiawatha COGIC, 3417 Hiawatha Ave., Ashtabula, with Supt. David Howard, Pastor of Hiawatha COGIC, officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery.
