ASHTABULA —
Elvera Rose Enricco, age 69, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Ames Family Hospice Facility, Westlake, Ohio.
She was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Ashtabula, the daughter of Michael and Filma (Salvato) Gentile and had been a lifelong Ashtabula resident.
A 1960 graduate of Ashtabula High School, she worked in the accounting department for Hills and Kmart, but was mostly devoted to her primary job – caring for her family. A member of Our Lady of Peace Parish (Mt. Carmel Church), she loved flower gardening, spoiling her grandchildren and baking. A true animal lover, she treated her cat Lucy as another member of her immediate family. Elvera was also a passionate Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Her survivors include her husband, Robert Enricco, whom she married on Oct. 26, 1968; her daughter, Tracie (Joe) Kuczkowski of Medina; four grandchildren, Logan, Julianna, Zachary and Jayden Kuczkowski; and one brother, Tom Gentile of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Annette Gentile Jr.; a brother-in-law, Jesse Enricco; her parents; and her beloved kitten, “The Dude”.
A Service will be held 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30th, at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Carpenter Road, Ashtabula, with Deacon Rich Johnson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, presiding. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held afterwards with the location to be announced following the Service.
No calling hours will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.
