JUPITER, Fla. —
Nancy Vincenzo Matrisciano, age 90, of Jupiter, Fla., died peacefully at her home after a 10-month illness with her loving family by her side. She passed from this life on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, thirteen years to the day on the anniversary of the death of her beloved husband.
Born in Ashtabula, she married the true love of her life, Louis Matrisciano in 1941. They moved to Jupiter in 1961 and spent nearly 58 happy years together before his death in 1999. They enjoyed dancing, boating and traveling up North to see family and friends.
Family was important to Nancy and, in recent years, she spent a great deal of time with relatives in Ashtabula and with family in Albuquerque, N.M. She enjoyed the Matrisciano and West Street “Gashouse Gang” reunions.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Lois (Bob) Lamphier of Albuquerque and Louis (Barb) Matrisciano and Cindy (Bill) Danner, both of Jupiter; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren who range in age from 5 months to 22 years. Surviving siblings are a sister, Irene (Anthony) Cifelli; and brothers, Don (Irene) Vincenzo and Joe (Lynette) Vincenzo; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Rita (Gabe Matrisciano) Gillen and Virginia (George) Matrisciano, both of Ashtabula and Wilma (Dan) Matrisciano of Anaheim, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Joseph Vincenzo; brother, Bob; and husband, Louie with whom she is now re-united.
Nancy will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 3rd, at St. Jude Catholic Church.
