CHERRY VALLEY TOWNSHIP —
David W. Shadle, age 71, of Cherry Valley Township, Ohio, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born Oct. 23, 1940, in Linesville, Pa., a son of Richard T. and Lottie (McCracken) Shadle. David was a 1961 graduate of Deming School.
He was employed as a truck driver for Dorset Feed Mill for many years, retiring in 1999; and he owned and operated Shadle's Outdoor Stoves. He was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
David loved cutting and hauling wood, sitting on his porch and going to baseball games with his grandsons. He enjoyed having all of his grandchildren over to his home for visits and swimming; going to the antique engine shows; and having all family and friends over for get togethers at his house.
David is survived by his wife, Rosalie S. (Capozzoli) Shadle, whom he married April 17, 1963, of Cherry Valley; his son, Raymond W. (Lori Carraher) Shadle of Andover, Ohio; his daughter, Rebecca L. (Eddie Jr.) Sanders of Cherry Valley, Ohio; three grandchildren, Eddie Sanders III, Dakota Sanders and Hayley (Shadle) Simons; one great-granddaughter, Trinity Sanders; two brothers, Dale (Donnanne) Shadle of Chambersburg, Pa. and Kenneth Shadle of Columbus, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved son, Richard W. Shadle on August 19, 2003.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 9th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio, with the Rev. Meredith Coleman officiating. Cremation will follow Services.
Calling Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 8th, at the Funeral Home and also on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of Service.
