WILLIAMSFIELD — Dorothy M. Cico, age 84, died on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, Pa.


She was born August 31, 1925, in Gustavus, Ohio, the daughter of Mary (Laska) and Hallie Clisby. A 1943 graduate of Gustavus High School, Mrs. Cico was a longtime Williamsfield resident. On Oct. 24, 1943, she married John Cico and together they ran a dairy farm for many years.


Mrs. Cico worked for the former Ohio Lamp in Warren, Ohio, was the owner/operator of Slender You in Andover, Ohio and sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry for many years. She was an active member of Kinsman Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the Women’s Organization, attended church session for many years and was a member of the Dorcas Circle. Mrs. Cico was also a member of the Kinsman Ideal Club and the Kinsman Golden Aires for many years.


She enjoyed quilting, bowling, gardening and traveling.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, John Cico in 2001; a son, Larry A. Cico; a sister, Helen J. Pasha; and a brother-in-law, Robert French.


Survivors include two daughters, Paula L. (Mike) Overly of Andover, Ohio and Joy M. (John) Boyer of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a son, James P. (Jan) Cico of Williamsfield, Ohio; a brother, H. Dean Clisby of Broad Brook, Conn.; six grandchildren, Tony Overly of Conneaut, Ohio, Tim (Wendy) Overly of Williamsfield, Ohio, Stephan (Theresa) Cico of Sharpsville, Pa., Scott (Hope) Cico of the United State Air Force, Afghanistan, Brian (Jamie) Boyer of Westland, Mich. and Susan (Jack) Merrifield of Knoxville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren, Theresa and Katie Adams, Stephan Cico II, Corey and Cody Overly; and a great-great-granddaughter, Riley A. Overly.


Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 28th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL HOME, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio, with the Rev. Larry Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.


Calling Hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27th, and one hour prior to the Service on Saturday, at the Funeral Home.
