GENEVA TOWNSHIP — Albert F. Craine, age 75, of Geneva Township, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at home.


Born Dec. 20, 1933, in Thompson, Ohio, the son of Albert A. and Jennie L. (Potter) Craine and had been a Geneva resident all his life. On Jan. 31, 1953, Albert married Barbara Jean Griffith, in Geneva, Ohio.


He worked at True Temper in Geneva for 30 years and at STP in Painesville for 15 years. He also had been a beef farmer, raised ponies, had horses and mules and had been an animal lover.


Albert was a 4-H Advisor for 25 years (Beef-A-Teers) and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame.


Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara; son, Albert F. “Skip” (Brenda) Craine of Harpersfield; daughter, Becky Marie DeHuff of California; grandchildren, Brianna and Ashley DeHuff; brothers, Richard (Bonnie) and Jerry of Geneva; sisters, Onnieta Steele, Carol (Nelson) Rosado of Geneva and Shirley (Vince) Minello of Leroy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Craine.


Funeral will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. David Hill, of First United Methodist Church of Geneva, officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Geneva.

Calling Hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., TODAY, Nov. 24th, at the Funeral Home.
