LARGO, Fla. — Senior Chief Edwin James Young, age 72, of Largo, Fla., passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.
Formerly of Rochester, N.Y., he also lived a short time in Ashtabula.
Ed served 33 years with the United States Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Conko-Young; mother, Jessie M. Young; daughters, Chris Dunton and Deanna Rose; grandsons, Gregory Dunton and Gabriel Rose; sister, Cheryl (Frank) Meagher; stepchildren, Eric Conko and Carey Rivers; stepgrandson, Bob Rivers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Forman E. Young; and daughter, Barbara (Ernest) Happy.
A burial at sea by the United States Coast Guard will be held at future date.
