NEW LYME TOWNSHIP — Carl A. Czuchra, age 72, of Dodgeville Road, New Lyme Township, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at his home.

Born June 7, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Casmir and Laura Frances (Sawicki) Czuchra and has been a lifetime area resident.

Carl was a Sales and Marketing Manager for SAS Rubber Company in Painesville for over thirty years, retiring in 2003.

He was an avid golfer playing at Village Green in North Kingsville and on a traveling men’s league, and also enjoyed bowling.

Surviving him are his wife, Joan (Dziewicki) Czuchra, whom he married Sept. 8, 1962, at St. Pascal Church in Highland Heights, Ohio; a daughter, Michelle R. (Douglas L.) Kasefang of Boise, Idaho; two sons, Michael R. Czuchra of San Francisco, Calif., and Brian S. (Tina) Czuchra of Ashtabula; five grandchildren, Brittany, Victoria, Noah, Benjamin and Megan; and two brothers, Leonard W. Czuchra of Detroit, Mich., and Robert S. Czuchra of Jefferson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21st, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio. Father Stephen Wassie will have prayers at 3 p.m.
