VERNON — Roy L. "Bub" Bailes, 68, died on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009.
He was born Nov. 24, 1940, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Alice M. (Hines) and Roy Nelson Bailes. Mr. Bailes was a 1958 graduate of Vernon High School.
He was a foreman for the former Taylor Steel Company of Lordstown, Ohio and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and taking walks.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Lee (Robert) Massey of Leavittsburg, Ohio; three grandchildren, Anna, Lewis and Rachel; his mother, Alice M. Bailes of Vernon, Ohio; three sisters, Brenda (Dave) Reighard of Canfield, Ohio, Alda (George) Letcher of Vernon, Ohio and Marsha (Blaise) Tunstall of Jamestown, Pa.; two brothers, Larry "Tim" Bailes of Canfield, Ohio and Dave (Dixie) Bailes of Gustavus, Ohio; his step-mother, Arlene Bailes of Cortland, Ohio; and step-sister, Lois (Denny) Lamp of Cortland, Ohio.
Preceding Mr. Bailes in death is his father, Roy; a son, Jeffrey Lee Bailes who died in 1976; and two brothers, Robert and James Bailes.
Calling Hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL HOME, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Private burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
