CONNEAUT — Ann Louise Schepman, age 97, formerly of Woodville, Ohio, most recently of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at The Villa at The Lake, Conneaut, Ohio.
On April 10, 1912, she was born in Luckey, Ohio to Fred and Dora (Bergman) Landwehr. She married Dale Schepman on August 29, 1936, in Woodville, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1972.
Ann was a homemaker all of her life, however before marriage she had been employed from 1932 – 1937 by Bock Laundry Machine Co. and after being widowed she also worked for National Family Opinion from 1972 – 1981. Her memberships include Solomon Lutheran Church and its Elizabeth Circle of Woodville, Ohio and C.C. Layman’s Women’s Relief Corp. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards, sewing and visiting family and friends.
Surviving Ann are her sons, Jon Schepman of Sarasota Fla. and Tom (Caroline) Schepman of Lima, Ohio; daughter, Joanne (Paul) Mechling of Pierpont, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; son, Dennis; sister, DeMaris “De” Patton-Harris-Ford; and special friend, Arthur Sandwisch.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8th, at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 201 W. Main St., Woodville, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 9th, at Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, Ohio, with the Rev. William Duty and the Rev. Karl Ribbeck, officiating. There will be additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, Ohio.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served at Solomon Lutheran Church immediately following the cemetery committal services.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Arthur Meyer Financial Aid-Solomon Lutheran School or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Conneaut, Ohio.
