CLEVELAND — Melinda Sue Rizzo, age 36, a resident of Ashtabula, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 3, 2009, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a long illness.
Born March 23, 1973, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Gary and Mary (Osowski) Larson.
Mindy graduated from St. John High School in 1991 and has worked at Carington Park for the past 17 years. On Sept. 28, 1996, she married Michael Rizzo, in Mother of Sorrows Church.
Mrs. Rizzo enjoyed crafts, cooking, wedding planning and helped with all the her children’s school activities and functions.
Survivors included her husband, Michael; and her children, Mariana Elizabeth and Mikayla Olivia Rizzo of Ashtabula; her parents, Gary and Mary Larson of Ashtabula; brother, Shawn Larson of Cortland, Ohio; mother-in-law, Betty Rizzo of Ashtabula; and the rest of the Rizzo family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Melissa Larson; father-in-law, Samuel Rizzo; and grandparents, Stanley and Mary Osowski and Paul and Evelyn Larson.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday Nov. 7th, in Mother of Sorrows Church. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
