CLEVELAND – Walter E. Sironen, age 49, a resident of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born Dec. 5, 1959, in Ravenna, Ohio, he was a son of the late Juanita (Preston) and Karl F. Sironen.
Walter worked as a blasting technician for Hinkle Construction in Kentucky.
He loved the outdoors, especially time spent fishing and enjoyed antique auctions. He was always willing to help others in need.
Survivors include two sons, Ryan and Shilo; his fiancée, Sandy Butcher of Ashtabula; one sister, Karla (Bill) Andrews of Geneva, Ohio; and three brothers, James T. (Susan) Quinn of Ashtabula, Karl M. Sironen of Geneva and Tod Sironen of Austinburg.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Rose, and a brother, Shilo Sironen.
A Memorial Gathering will be held 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5th, at the Geneva VFW Post 6846, 76 Depot Road, Geneva. Final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Make A Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Northeast Ohio Region, The Hanna Building, 1422 Euclid Ave., Suite 239, Cleveland, Ohio 44115-1901.
