NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Betty J. Cevera, a former resident of Ashtabula, Ohio, and current resident of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., died on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at home.
Born in 1929 in Lenox Township, she was raised by her grandparents, Kathryn and William Eaken. Betty graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1947.
She spent most of her life in Ohio, before moving to New Smyrna Beach, Fla., in 2003. She enjoyed reading, bowling and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, James Cevera of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; daughter, Gloria (Ray) Santee of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons, Gregory Gates and R. Kim Gates, both of Jefferson; step-children, Jayne Fifer, Tammy Lollis and Jeff Cevera, all of Florida; and a sister, Helen Detrick of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by many relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family, entombment will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
