CONNEAUT — Betty Macko Butler, age 103, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Thursday morning, Oct. 29, 2009, at the Harrington Care Home in Conneaut.


She was born Oct. 12, 1906, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of John and Barbara (Hrisko) Macko.


A Conneaut resident for more that 30 years, she was a member of the former Lakeview United Methodist Church. In her younger years, she volunteered with the Cleveland Red Cross Bloodmobile for four years and was a Pink Lady at Brown Memorial Hospital in Conneaut for two years.


She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, crocheting and walking.


Survivors include two sons, Richard A. (Susan) Butler of Jacksonville, Fla. and Robert G. Butler of Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles A. Butler in 1989; four sisters; and a brother.


Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, at MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, with Pastor Jan Walsh, of New Leaf United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 2nd, at the Funeral Home
