MADISON — Jack E. Hoplight, age 71, a resident of Madison, Ohio, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Cardinal Woods, Madison.
Born Dec. 12, 1937, in Erie, Pa., the son of William and Irene (Rood) Hoplight and had been an area resident all his life. On June 28, 1958, he married Laura L. Adams, in Ashtabula.
Jack was a maintenance worker for the Lake Hospital System, Painesville for 33 years and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was a member of Geneva Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; daughter, Vicki (Pat) Christie of Madison; brothers, William, Mark and Lloyd (Pete); sisters, Sally, Gloria, Karen and Pamela; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David and Theodore (Ted) Hoplight.
Funeral will be 12 p.m. Noon, Monday, Nov. 2nd, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. Harry Pishcura, of New Life Assembly of God Church, Geneva. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling Hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1st, and 11 a.m. until time of service, Monday, at the Funeral Home.
