SAEGERTOWN, Pa. — Paul F. Cowan, age 62, of Saegertown, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, archery deer hunting, in the Saegertown area.
Born Oct. 25, 1947, a son of the late Joseph Cowan and Sarah McLennan Cowan.
A Veteran of the Marine Corp, he received a Purple Heart during his tour of duty in Vietnam from 1964-1968. He married Terry Buckley on May 7, 1977.
He retired Oct. 25, 2009 (his birthday) from Greenleaf Saegertown as a CNC operator at the Saeger Carbine Building with 20+ years of employment.
He is survived by his wife, Terry; three daughters, Teresa (Brian) Cowan-Christen of Wichita, Kan., Stephanie (Dana) Cleversy of Ashtabula, Ohio and Sally (Michael) Engstrom of Greenville, Pa.; a sister, Alice Lincoln of Rhode Island; two brothers, John Cowan of West Ossipee, N.H. and Dennis Cowan of Florida; and grandchildren, Kylie and Nathan Annick and Sophia Cleversy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Gerard Cowan; a sister, Sarah Zaldocks; and step-father, Bob Clark.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31st, at DICKSON FUNERAL HOME, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake, Pa.
Funeral Service will be following at 4 p.m., Saturday, at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Brumagin, associate minister of Trinity U Methodist Church, officiating.
