SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — Janet Theresa Davis, age 73, of S. Ridge Road E., died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009.
She was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Jackson, Mich., the daughter of Francis J. and Ethel (Konkel) Dalton and had been a Jackson resident most of her life, moving to Ohio to live with her daughter this year.
A Mormon by faith, she spent most of her life as a homemaker and loved playing cards, crocheting, reading, television and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Her survivors include four children, Karen (Russell) Nelson of Geneva and Michael (Bobbie Lynn) Davis, Shelly (Chris) Bentley and David Edward Davis, all of Jackson, Mich.; 12 grandchildren, Russell, Jennifer, Matthew, Angela, April, David, Andrew, Nicolas, Stacie, Tony, Cindy and Kyle; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Sharon) Dalton of Jackson, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Davis; two brothers, Richard and Francis “Took” Davis; three sisters, Maxine, Jean and Joann; and her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held in Jackson, Mich., at a later date. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Jackson, Mich.
